For the six million UK wine drinkers who want to learn more but don't know where to start, Wine List is a way to discover great bottles while learning at the same time.
Good morning
We've had our busiest month yet. We're now in final stages of closing the first part of fundraising, with the second tranche going out on Crowdcube soon after.
We're getting geared up for Christmas – which means gifting, SEO to push organic traffic, new product lines, b2b sales pushes, and much much more. We've just made an offer on our new fulfilment warehouse to move into from Jan. And we've kicked off hiring to get the team in place to deliver our product-market fit plan. And have been experimenting heavily on the website to improve conversion for growth overall.
All the best
Josh

Highlights
- Fundraising & crowdfunding 🏗️– We're in the final stages of closing the first tranche from Haatch and angels. We expect to close within the next two weeks. Last weekend, we recorded our video for when we go live on Crowdcube. Take a look at that here.
- Hiring five roles and made an offer 👨👩👦👦– we kicked off hiring for five roles: a head of wine, community lead, copywriter, an ops manager/head of ops, and customer experience – the last of which we just made an offer to a fantastic candidate. Our careers page is here if you know of anyone suitable.
- Version 2 of the site in development 🌐– building the digital learning platform is our next big challenge, not only that but a website that connects the dots from the physical experience to the digital one. We started work on the new site development this week. We're sticking no- and low-code for this build, utilizing the best of Webflow, Memberstack, Airtable, and Zapier.
- Two tastes into our rebottling prototype 🏭– we rebottled our first-ever wines in our new inert gas unit in October. This reduces the oxygen while you open and rebottle wine. We have tasted twice – once after four days and again after eight. There are no faults with the wine so far!
